Lord I Give You Control

This morning I woke up singing a song. For me, this is rare. I normally am still half sleeping as I roll out of bed at 5:20. This morning though, I had a song in my head and on my heart. After exercising this morning, one last time around the court and "dropping" Liesl off at her house, I rounded the court, and the song came back.

A few weeks ago this song took me by surprise during a chapel. I was having a particularly rough week, and this song brought tears.

Right before our retreat, this song came up again when we were discussing which songs we wanted to include as part of our worship for the weekend. We included it in our playlist.

Today, during chapel, we sang this song again.

God speaks when you least expect it.

"From The Inside Out"

A thousand times I've failed
Still your mercy remains
Should I stumble again
Still I'm caught in your grace
Everlasting, your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, your glory goes beyond all fame

Your will above all else
My purpose remains
The art of losing myself in bringing you praise
Everlasting, your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, your glory goes beyond all fame

In my heart, in my soul
I give you control
Consume me from the inside out
Let justice and praise
Become my embrace
To love you from the inside out

Everlasting, your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart is to bring you praise
From the inside out
Lord my soul cries out
